Belgium is a strange country. We have 3 national languages, 6 governments and still no new federal government. But what we do have, is lots of small venue's for concerts. Last night I went to see the Swedish band Bonafide, and it rocked!
Bonafide, Pontus Snibb's new band, just released their new EP called 'Fill Your Head With Rock'. To celebrate this, they are touring all over Europe. For those not familiar with Bonafide, they play good old classic Hard Rock, and played Sweden Rock in 2008 and 2010. Last night was their first time in Belgium but definitely not their last.
They opened with the rocking 'Dirt Bound' and the pace was kept high with songs such as 'Hard Living Man' and 'Going In For The Kill'. The band also played a Humble Pie cover, the classic 'I Don't Need No Doctor'. After this song they took a small break to mingle with the crowd and sign Cd's.
After the break they opened with the bluesy '50 Cent Millionaire' and slowly raised the pace back to full out Hard Rock with the Sweden Rock anthem 'Fill Your Head With Rock'. Was this the end? Or would they play an encore? Turned out they did 2 encores. The first encore featured the song 'Dog' and a The Who cover, 'I Can't Explain'. The final encore and song was a reprise of the opening song, 'Dirt Bound'.
The time passed quickly and the band rocked. What more can you ask for on a Wednesday night?
