Chris Slade is undoubtedly one of the finest drummers I know. Having played with iconic bands and persons such as Tom Jones, Gary Moore, Asia, Uriah Heep and heaps of others, he certainly had quite a nice carreer.
The highlight of his carreer for me however, was his time with AC/DC, and judging from the CS/SC project, he thinks so as well.
Together with fellow mucisians Keri Kelli (Alice Cooper), Chris Glen (Michael Schenker Group), Greg D (The Beerdrinkers) and Leon Goewie (Vengeance) he set about to play tribute to the biggest band ever, AC/DC!
This concert was the first concert for whom I've collaborated with French Metal webzine MetalChroniques, a new partnership that I hope will last for a very long time. You can read the (French) review of the gig here.
This was the second time I've seen Chris & co play AC/DC in the Spirit Of 66 and just like last time, this turned out to be a blast! Chris Slade is still a beast when he's behind the drums and Kelli was ripping it up with his Gibson. Each one of them are excellent musicians and great guys to hang out with at the bar.
The band played a whole slew of hits and the Spirit was shaking on it's foundations, the crowd loved it and the band was visibly enjoying themselves on stage.
