Hailing in from Ireland last week was Pat McManus. This multi talented musician is an amazing fiddle and guitar player. Having already appeared on TV by the age of 7 and becoming All-Ireland Fiddle Champion by the age of 14, it was only a matter of time before he found the stage.
Pat and his two brothers John & Tommy formed the band Mama's Boys and in the early 80's they toured with just about every major band out there. Thin Lizzy, Rush, Bon Jovi, Deep Purple...
The band had a lot of turbulant times around the 90's and after the passing of Tommy due to leukaemia the band was definately disbanded. Years passed and bands come & went and finally in to 2007 and Pat released his first solo album, 'In My Own Time'.
Fast forward to last week. Last friday Pat McManus was playing in the Spirit of 66 in Verviers, Belgium. The band was off to a bad start with Gordon Sheridan cancelling on him just a day before but luckally Mark Stanway from the band Magnum was able and willing to offer them a helping hand.
The guys were awesome, Pat McManus truly is an amazing guitar player and time flew by way to fast.
Check out the pictures, or better yet, check out the band, you won't regret it!
