Swing Wespelaar 2011

Swing Wespelaar is a free Blues festival in Wespelaar, a small city in Belgium. I first discovered this little festival last year when Canned Heat was playing there.

This year my eyes cought one name on their line-up that I wouldn't miss. That name was Saint Jude.
I only went for 1 day, the saturday, but that one day turned out to be a blast. Opening the day was the Krissy Matthews Band whom was pretty damn good, as were Cashman and Lightnin' Guy who played a whole set of Hound Dog Taylor songs.

I didn't remember who was Garland Jeffreys at first, but once he started playing the song 'Matador' I suddenly remembered.

The best of the day for me however was Saint Jude.
