Twice a year there is a little local festival called 'Rock Sound Festival'. Last weekend was the sixth edition and I was there to see the action. Four local bands were playing, all Belgian and all Rockin'.
The band to kick off the day was 'Anwynn', a Pagan Celtic Metal band with influences from traditional and Death metal. These guys aren't new to the stage, having played both Power Prog & Metal Fest 2010 and Metal Female Voices Fest 2010, and they gave it their all.
Set List:
Next up was 'Dr Voy', a Hard Rock band with various influences including Classic Hard Rock, Prog Rock and Stoner Rock, was up next. These guys sure had a lot of energy, and the crowd loved it. No set list of them though...
Third band of the day was 'Virus IV'. This band is a force to be reckoned with. They know how to rock hard. And that is just what they did, damned the concequences or the minor technical dificulties in the beginning.
As a nice bonus, they had a special guest with them, Kelly Sundown Carpenter. Kelly is a very talented singer and a rising star in the metal world, we'll be hearing from him a lot more!
Set List:
Last band of the day was 'Max Pie', a band mostly known as a cover band, they just released their first CD with own works. Like the previous bands, they've been playing on stages all over the place, and they're billed for the Power Prog & Metal Fest 2011, so keep an eye on them!
