Hellfest 2011

This year was the first time I went to Hell Fest in France. The reason why was pretty simple. An awesome line-up including Judas Priest! So I decided to go.

Unfortunately I didn't obtain a photo pass for the festival so I didn't bring my Nikon. But I did bring my trusty old Sony, and I do think the results aren't that shoddy, not shoddy at all!

The festival itself was awesome, a very relaxed atmosphere and excellent wine! A line-up to die for and all in all good weather, what more can you ask?

I witnessed a whole load of awesome performances by bands such as Alter Bridge, Black Label Society, Down, MR. Big,.... The list goes on, but the performance that impressed me the most was Thin Lizzy. These guys are touring with Ricky Warwick these days and Ricky turned out to be just about perfect for the role! What a show! The boys really are back in town.

Judas Priest also proved themselves with an impressive gig and a set list to die for! Hell Fest turned out to be an amazing festival and I'll be back again next year!
